Family Fun for Spring 2017

 

Wiltshire Music Centre invites you to spend a day out enjoying one of our brilliant family concerts taking place in the next few months. With music-making, storytelling and scientific investigation, there's plenty to inspire and entertain.

THE UGLY SWANLING FAMILY SHOW

Interactive storytelling and live music for little ones: join Michael Loader and his gang for a brilliantly entertaining family show about the journey of a young swan as she tries to find her true home. Disaster! Enemies! Happy Ever After? Get swept away in an original story inspired by Hans Christian Anderson, and live swan-themed music by Tchaikovsky and Saint Saëns performed with drainpipes and harps! More info

A magical, musical journey through Europe: join musicians from the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment on an interactive journey around Baroque Europe to discover the exciting instruments that live there. Get up close with the wise old double bass, the fun-loving oboes and the oh so troublesome horns. Get ready to clap, sing and bounce your way through the 17th century with one of the world's greatest camber orchestras in this playful concert for the very youngest of music lovers. More info
