BME Communities

The Centre is continually building relationships with Black & other minority ethnic community organisations and individuals in Wiltshire & Swindon through working with cultural consultants, Hybrid.

Currently, we're planning Open Space - a number of diverse projects, including See Me, and VIBES:

  1. See Me is a multi-agency Black oral history project that will bring together many Wiltshire communities to tell their stories. It will include touring exhibitions, performances and a publication. The launch will take place here at the Centre as part of Black History Month in October 2010. If want to get involved  please contact Jo Day.
  2. Music-making and dance for all ages, performances, debate and networking for Black & other minority ethnic communities - VIBES day has taken place at the Centre for the past three years, and the next is taking place on 24 April. We present it in collaboration with Wiltshire Music Service, Wiltshire Youth Arts Partnership and Wiltshire Dancing. Contact us if you'd like to go on the VIBES mailing list or get involved in the planning and managing of the day.
