All for just £24 a year for single members or £34 a year for joint members (two people at the same address). Prices increase to £30 single and £40 joint in February 2012.

Where does my money go?

Income from the Friends supports the Centre financially in many ways, typically being donated to:

• The sponsorship of one concert in each series
• The purchase of much-needed capital items. In the past this has included:
  
  

  • a computerised Box Office systema cabinet to house interval tea and coffee facilities
  • design software that helps us to produce cost-effective publicity
  • handrails in the auditorium
  • equipment to help young musicians develop their skills
  • The Friends are currently considering helping towards the installation of high quality 'house PA' at the Centre.

How does membership work?

There are four 3 month periods throughout the year when you can join the Friends. These are:

• 1 February - 30 April
• 1 May - 31 July
• 1 August - 31 October
• 1 November - 31 January

Your membership will last until a year after the closing date of the period you join in. For example, join between 1 August and 31 October 2010, and your membership will be due for renewal on 31 October 2011, and when you renew, every 31 October thereafter.
