Become a Volunteer Steward

"The other volunteers, and the staff, are a joy to work with. It is like a family and it is so nice to be part of." Volunteer

As a registered charity, the Wiltshire Music Centre has a small team of employees, supported by over 100 Volunteer Stewards. We are always interested in hearing from reliable, committed and friendly people wishing to join our team of volunteer Stewards.

"What a wonderful venue @wiltshiremusic is. Lovely concert hall and everybody gets a warm welcome from the friendly FOH staff (volunteers?)." David Burgess ‏@D_A_Burgess

Our Volunteer Stewards play a vital role in the smooth operation of Wiltshire Music Centre. Wiltshire Music Centre Volunteer Stewards supervise public access in and out of the building and help to give audiences a good experience. Duties include

  • checking tickets
  • seating audience members
  • selling programmes
  • selling drinks from the bar
  • looking after performers backstage
  • ensuring the highest level of customer care is maintained

"Volunteering here has enabled me to see behind the scenes - hours and hours of work are put into everything, not just the concerts. There is phenomenal amount of dedication."

The Wiltshire Music Centre is currently recruiting new volunteers. Anyone who is interested in joining the team, should call for an informal chat on 01225 860 110 or email volunteers@wiltshiremusic.org.uk

"Many people come to volunteer by themselves and there are a lot of ex-professional people which makes an interesting mix. The relationships between people are really good and it is great fun." Volunteer
