piano, clarinet, cello, oboe, violins, viola and bassoon.
Prokofiev's provocative and jocular quintet brings a boisterous
playfulness and mischievous irreverence to depict life in the
Circus. Written right at the end of his life, Martinů's Nonet pays
tribute to Haydn and celebrates the folk tunes of his Czech
homeland. Wonderfully fresh, imaginative and uplifting,
Robert Schumann's joyful Piano Quintet stands alongside those by
Brahms and Dvořák as a masterpiece of the genre.
