Ensemble 360

A programme that's full of variety, life-affirming energy, profound lyricism and wonderful tunes.  This stunning group returns with no less than 11 musicians - horn, double bass, flute, piano, clarinet, cello, oboe, violins, viola and bassoon. Prokofiev's provocative and jocular quintet brings a boisterous playfulness and mischievous irreverence to depict life in the Circus. Written right at the end of his life, Martinů's Nonet pays tribute to Haydn and celebrates the folk tunes of his Czech homeland.   Wonderfully fresh, imaginative and uplifting, Robert Schumann's joyful Piano Quintet stands alongside those by Brahms and Dvořák as a masterpiece of the genre.

'... brimming with body and soul, with passion, vitality and virtuosity...' The Independent
