With highly energetic original tunes including the amazing 'Lau Jigs' interspersed with traditional music and the occasional ballad, their ferocious live performances are like an exhilarating roller-coaster ride. Moody accordion glides into a robust fiddle section, gets driven on by guitar, before diving headfirst towards a furious jazz improvisation, with a now-frantic Green about to fall off his chair in excitement. Winners of 'Best Group' in BBC Radio 2's Folk Awards in both 2008 and 2009, Lau have become one of the most sought-after acts on the scene.
