The Lion Who Wanted Love

Lions are usually fierce and strong - but not Leo. Leo just wants to love everybody and play with his friends all day long. Let the 11 fantastic musicians from Ensemble 360 take you through this 45 minute action-packed musical story, introducing themselves and their instruments, and projecting images from the book - a great introduction to music for kids aged 2 - 7. Then afterwards, meet the musicians, see the instruments up close and join in fun colouring activities!

With Ensemble 360 with Polly Ives

This was really good fun - and very professional. My 2 year old was completely engrossed in it. It was just the right length, the music was excellent and the story was enjoyable.

A group of us came to the concert with children aged 1-4 years. The children absolutely loved it - and so did all the adults!Even the youngest in our group was swaying and clapping along at the appropriate moments and the gasps and cheers showed how engrossed all the children were in the story. My friend's daughters begged her to get them a violin all the way home and my own 4 year-old has her heart set on the french horn! The highlight for lots of them was having their squiggles of 'music' played for them by the instrumentalists after the performance. All in all a wonderful way to spend a cold January afternoon. Pre-schoolers are so often overlooked in programmes of cultural events so praises to WMC for catering for them so magnificently with Ensemble 360!
