Eminent in their respective fields of jazz piano and classical violin, longstanding collaborators Thomas Gould and Nimmo Artist in Residence Gwilym Simcock join forces for a genre-crossing programme that navigates the boundaries between notated and improvised music. Drawing inspiration from Bach's Sonatas for violin and keyboard, the duo will perform improvised personal responses to these works.

This event promises to be a unique exploration of Bach's music and the influence it has had over generations of performers, composers and audiences.
