Wiltshire Music Centre is delighted to be selected as the venue to showcase BCMG's Chamber Players as part of the BBC-devised Music Nation, a weekend of concerts to celebrate the best of the UK's live orchestral music. Music Nation is a countdown event to the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad Festival.

In a programme full of contrast and offering an embarrassement of riches, six of BCMG's brilliant musicians perform superbly crafted pieces from the last 30 years. Some are tiny, others more substantial and many pay tribute to music of the past.

Stockhausen's Tierkreis is inspired by signs of the Zodiac and Aldo Clementi's Berceuse is performed as a tribute; to the last of the great Italian 20th century modernists, who died almost a year ago to the day in March 2011.

Pre Concert Performance

In the spirit of passing on the Olympic torch, BCMG and their composer in residence have been working with the exceptionally gifted young musicians of South West Music School. This short preconcert performance, by both BCMG and SWMS musicians, showcases their work.

your web-sites inability to recognise credit card details for booking is very seriously irritating, and 'contact us' appears to have no means of actually leaving a message. 0/10 for customer care.

Excellent varied programme of contemporary music. Great of the WMC to put on an event like this with music you rarely get to hear live.
