Delighting audiences all over the world with it's lively mix of swing and hot dance music from the 20s and 30s, Pasadena Roof Orchestra is said to be a favourite of the Queen and has collaborated with Bryan Ferry and Robbie Williams. It was founded by John Arthy, who, while moonlighting as a BBC session bass player in the Sixties, discovered a cache of original arrangements of 1920's music in an attic and formed his own band to play it. Over 40 years on, infused with exciting new talent, the reputation of the orchestra is legendary. When it comes to authentic swing, it has no equal.

I can't be alone in believing that the entire show was simply non-stop magical entertainment. Not for a second was there a dull or failing moment: the music kept coming, either in the form of perfect orchestra or in an unending parade of amazing individual skills, interspersed with humour, all of which kept the audience electrified. I could have happily had another 2 hours, but alas it ended all too soon. Magnificent!
