    Mercury-nominated jazz pianist Zoe Rahman makes a very welcome return following the outstanding concert here with Courtney Pine last spring. This acoustic tour, with her brother Idris and regular jazz trio partners, marks the release of her latest album Kindred Spirits, featuring powerful and fresh music portraying her combined English, Irish and Bengali heritage.

  • Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment

    Following their splendid CPE and JC Bach last year, it will be a treat to hear the OAE play music by Johann Sebastian himself. The third Suite contains one of the most widely loved pieces of all, his famous 'Air on the G String'. A skilled violinist and virtuoso keyboard player, Bach led the court orchestra while Capellmeister at Köthen and this beautiful Violin Concerto dates from this time.

  • Sanju Sahai (tabla) & Mehboob Nadeem (sitar)

    An evening of Indian classical music

    These two world renowned musicians will give a concert of traditional Indian classical music. Sanju Sahai is a sixth generation tabla player who has collaborated with musicians from around the world, including Ravi Shanka and the BBC Philharmonic. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert hall and the House of Commons. Mehboob Nadeem is a sitar player who has trained with sitar maestros and gurus. Both have performed for The Queen and Prince Charles. They are widely acclaimed as leading peformers on their instruments and sought after internationally.
