Russia's passionately nationalistic music reflects its historical adventures, joys and struggles, dramatic landscapes and rich cultural traditions. Created by some of the world's greatest composers, its majesty, grandeur and emotional depth help define this great nation and lie at the heart of its soul. Under their conductor Paul Denegri, Cathedral Brass and Ferio Percussion pay tribute with a programme that includes movements from Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, Rimsky Korsakov's Cortège and Benjamin Britten's Russian Funeral Music.
