WMC CHORUS

After a successful performance of St John Passion with English Touring Opera last year, Wiltshire Music Centre is delighted to be rerecruiting for the WMC Chorus. Men, women and young people aged 12+ (Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass) are invited to join WMC for our 20th Anniversary Launch Concert on 9 December.

There is no audition and you do not need to read music to take part

As a member of the WMC Chorus you will have the chance to work alongside jazz pianist and composer Gwilym Simcock, saxophonist Rob Buckland and a classical string quartet, as well as members of Wiltshire Youth Jazz Orchestra to perform 'A Christmas Suite', a specially commissioned new piece by Gwilym Simcock. The performance will explore the links between jazz, improvisation and the music of Debussy, Dutilleux and Ravel and promises to be a wonderful event to launch our 20th Anniversary. Under the musical direction of Mike Daniels, the Chorus will meet for a number of rehearsals to prepare for the event.
