Work Experience
The Wiltshire Music Centre offers a limited number of week-long work experience placements for school-age pupils throughout the year. These give opportunities for training in operations, box office, marketing and education projects. As placements are arranged between schools and the careers agency Trident, pupils should either contact their careers advisor or Trident direct for more information by calling 01249 701717.

Training
There are also occasional opportunities for music and arts administration students or graduates to work as volunteers on specific projects at the Music Centre to gain practical arts admin experience. These depend on individual training needs and experience, as well as the activity taking place at the Centre at any given time. If you would like to volunteer in this way, please email Susie Fry or call 01225 860 110 for an informal discussion.

Many of our outreach projects include music skills and management training for peer mentors or music trainees. Mentors work alongside music leaders during the projects and are generally recruited from the target participant group. Trainee positions are offered to experienced professional musicians or music teachers who are based locally and looking to build experience in a new area of work. If you are interested in one of our projects, email Jo Day to find out about current opportunities.
