Updated 8th April 2020

We write to update you about the current situation at Wiltshire Music Centre during this challenging time and our thoughts continue to be with you all and your loved ones.

Following our statement issued on 18th March and the latest guidance from the UK Government, the Wiltshire Music Centre will now be closed until 15th June 2020 to protect our audiences, participants, artists and staff. We will also be operating a reduced staff team so please bear with us as we manage operations and attend to essential business.

All concerts and events until 15th June 2020 will be cancelled or postponed. Ticket holders for performances during this period will automatically receive a credit to their Wiltshire Music Centre account; if you prefer to receive a refund, or donate your ticket to support the Centre, then please contact our Box Office via email boxoffice@wiltshiremusic.org.uk before 27th April.

Following our previous communication, we are currently processing credit, refunds and donations for all events until 14th April, and we will complete this process by the end of the month. Ticket holders will be informed individually once it has been processed. We will process credit, refunds and donations for all events between 14th April and 15th June in May. Ticket holders will be informed individually once it has been processed, and your patience and support is greatly appreciated during this time.

Our reduced staff team are also busy working behind the scenes to deliver some digital work in the community, such as the Celebrating Age Wiltshire online concert and a digital Zone Club, and we are continuing to plan an exciting Autumn season of events, including the very best live classical, jazz, folk and world music.

The Wiltshire Music Centre, like many other arts organisations nationally, are experiencing very difficult financial circumstances so we extremely grateful to all ticket holders who have made a donation to the Centre in the past few weeks. We continue to invite those who are able to donate some or all of their ticket fee, or to support us via the donation link below. This will ensure that we continue to deliver our world-class artistic programme, high quality work for young musicians, creative opportunities for young adults with learning disabilities, and cultural activities to rurally isolated older people across the county.

We have recently launched a new weekly newsletter with stories about our ongoing work as well as musical treats from some of our visiting artists, so please follow this link to subscribe. You can also keep in touch with us via social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) and our website for the latest news and updates.

Once again on behalf of the whole WMC team, thank you very much for your patience and understanding, as well as the countless messages of support, and please continue to keep music alive wherever you are!
