Welcome back to Wiltshire Music Centre!

We are delighted to be opened again to the public since 1st September 2020 for community projects, venue hire and live music practice. We have made a number of changes to keep you safe throughout the Centre, so read on to find out more about what a visit to WMC will look like from now on.

 

Staying safe while visiting Wiltshire Music Centre

  • Please keep 2 metres apart wherever possible
  • Look out for the arrows to help navigate our new one-way system
  • Don’t forget to wash your hands regularly with soap and water.
  • Hand sanitiser is available if needed
  • If you are over 11, please wear a face covering whenever possible whilst in the building.

We ask everyone to be mindful that some people are unable to wear a face covering and the reasons for that might not be immediately apparent.

  • Please help us to keep within safe capacity levels in each space. The room capacity is displayed on the doors of each room.
  • Contactless payment is preferred
  • If you are taking part in a lesson or an activity, please follow the guidelines and recommendations issued by your teacher or group leader.
  • Please respect everyone in the space and follow our guidance for a safe visit!
  • If you, or anyone in your household has experienced COVID-19 symptoms in the last 14 days, please do not enter WMC and follow government guidance.

 

Other measures put in place behind the scenes

  • Increased cleaning of public and staff spaces
  • Providing staff with PPE and clear screens at the Box Office
  • Digital sign-in and sign-out for staff, volunteers, and group leaders Advance booking for room hires or events
  • Training for staff, volunteers and group leaders about new guidelines and safety measures as well as full risk assessment (available below).

 

Our new one-way system

 

Enter the building through the Main Entrance.

Follow the one-way system either into the Foyer, Auditorium or teaching corridor.

The one-way system leads visitors along the backstage corridor, past our studios and rooms and exits at the Stage Door.

Please keep left when using the stairs to access the Mezzanine level or top of the Auditorium. Keep left as you ascend and descend.

 

Toilets

Toilets are located in the Foyer with men’s, women’s and disabled toilets. As you queue for toilets please remember to social distance. As you use the basins please remember to keep 2 metres apart.

There are also toilets located in the backstage corridor, if you are using a studio, the Henry Smart or the Nestle room. After use, please remember to use the one-way system to exit the building and re-enter through the Main Entrance to return.

Toilets are cleaned regularly.

 

Signage

We have made clear signage about all these changes, and this is displayed around the Centre. See whether you can identify all the musical instruments embedded into our signs!
