We are delighted to announce that following the temporary closure of the Wiltshire Music Centre Auditorium, next weekend’s opening events of the Autumn Winter season will all proceed at alternative venues.

The relocated events are as follows:

  • Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra Friday 20 September 7.30pm
    relocated to Holy Trinity Church,
  • Dervish Saturday 21 September 7.30pm                                                                                 
    relocated to St Margaret’s Hall,
  • Cory Band Sunday 22 September 3pm                                                                                     
    relocated to Devizes Corn Exchange

All tickets for the performances will be valid at the replacement venues, and the Wiltshire Music Centre box office is currently in the process of contacting all ticket holders to advise them about the relocation of their event.

Chief Executive Maud Saint-Sardos said: “Everyone at Wiltshire Music Centre is extremely grateful to our audience members, partners and artists for all the support and understanding we have received during the temporary closure of the Auditorium, and we thank everyone for their patience during this period of uncertainty. We are very pleased to be able to offer alternative venues for our opening weekend but apologise for any inconvenience caused. We look forward to opening the Autumn Winter season this weekend, reopening our wonderful Auditorium and returning to normal operations by Friday 27th September.”

The work being carried out involves replacement of the fixtures that support the retractable acoustic panels, which will be restored to full working order as a result of the works by Thursday 26th September. The priority has been to guarantee the safety of the Auditorium, but the Wiltshire Music Centre team have also worked hard to ensure that disruption has been kept to a minimum in terms of the delivery of the concert programme.


Information for ticket holders:

Wiltshire Music Centre apologises for the unavoidable change of venue for these performances. Any existing ticket(s) remain valid for the event and you just need to present them on the night in order to gain admission to the venue. Doors at the alternate venues will open at 6.45pm for evening shows and 2.30pm on Sunday.

Pre-purchased tickets can be collected from the WMC Box Office during our usual opening hours (10-6pm on weekdays) until Friday 20th September, or from 6pm on the day of the performances at Holy Trinity and St Margaret’s Hall, or from 2pm at The Corn Exchange on Sunday.

Please be advised that seating will be unallocated for relocated events and we are unable to guarantee you a particular seat, as spaces will be available on a first-come-first-served basis when you arrive at the venue.

Car parking is available close to the venues in central Bradford on Avon and in Devizes. While the alternate venues are all fully accessible, ticket holders with accessibility requirements are encouraged to contact the Centre box office prior to the performance to discuss their specific needs.
