Alex was until early 2022 the Concerts Manager at Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, where he ensured the delivery of an ambitious programme of 148 performances in over 38 UK towns and cities each year. Recent projects he has managed include flagship concerts at the Barbican London and Sage Gateshead marking 250 years since Beethoven’s birth; a collaboration concert with the Alzheimer’s Society at Buckingham Palace; and international tours with performances at Concertgebouw Amsterdam and Dublin National Concert Hall. Alex is passionate about the importance of access to and participation in the arts. As a BSO Diversity Champion, he supported the work of BSO Resound, the UK’s first professional disabled-led ensemble. In his previous role of Digital Officer, Alex established a live streaming programme for schools to give every child the opportunity to experience live orchestral music. Before joining the BSO, Alex gained experience at London’s Southbank Centre, having studied Music at the University of Southampton.
In Feb 2024 Alex started a new role with the RNLI, one of the largest UK charities, and continues to support WMC from this new Lifesaving Operations position.
