Beat the January blues with a weekend full of fabulous live music with over 50 acts, workshops and family activities. Bradford Roots celebrates the best in everything local, with 4 indoor stages and delicious refreshments from Hartley Farm Kitchen and Box Steam Brewery. We're not putting the fairly lights away just yet! Advance weekend tickets are just £20.

Saturday Highlights

Mandolin and Cornish Music workshop Sat 11:15

This workshop led by Mando Chutney will be a chance for festival goers to find out about the mandolin family of instruments and how to play them.  Mando Chutney will have the whole family of instruments here for you to have a go on and compare their sounds.

Ben Woodward Magic Sat 16:15

Bradford on Avon’s Ben Woodward is a magician who has performed in over 30 countries. Ben has had many royal engagements, including performing for Her Majesty the Queen at Windsor Castle.​

Feral Beryl Sat 15:30

Feral Beryl will take you to places like Twangadiddlydoo and Union Street with an eclectic mix of original compositions written in the old-time/bluegrass/blues/folk tradition, as well as some traditional songs arranged in a Feral style with three-part harmonies.

Verdisa Sat 20:30

Bristol based band Verdisa take you on a melodic journey through time. Tuned to 432 Hz (opposed to the standard 440 hz), the smooth mix of Jazz, Blues, Folk and Reggae allows those lucky enough to encounter Verdisa to connect to a higher frequency.

TrainToSkaville Sat 21:15

TrainToSkaville are a Ska, Reggae, Rocksteady band from the Caribbean Island of Wiltshire. Think of pubs, festivals, pitch invasions and parties with a feel-good summer vibe!

Sam Brookes 21.00

Bristol-based songsmith and former Sunday Times ‘Breaking Act’, Sam Brookes is one of the UK alt-folk’s best kept secrets.

Bristol Show Choir Sun 13:45

Bristol's Number 1 Musical Theatre Choir! Singing smash hits from West End & Broadway shows such as Wicked, Rent & Avenue Q, as well as lesser known off-Broadway gems, all in a capella and a whole load of fun!

Swithin Sun 14.00

Swithin play songs you may have heard before and songs you won’t have heard before in their own acoustic style. Michael Jackson, The Detectorists, Rag ‘n Bone Man, Smiths, Leonard Cohen. Two lead vocals, lots of harmonies, fiddle, viola, guitar.

Homegrown Collective Sun 15:00

The Homegrown Collective is a Bristol-based group of soul, folk and gospel musicians who collaborate to write, record and perform their music. Formed by Samantha Lindo, the collective make up several different bands and produce The Homegrown Supper Club; a pop-up restaurant and gig that celebrates sustainable food, music and community.
