PUSHKIN Quote from Eugene Onegin

A British mezzo-soprano of Ukrainian descent, Rozanna Madylus is an award-winning graduate of the Royal Academy Opera School. Joining Lithuanian pianist Rokas Valuntonis on stage for her WMC debut, Madylus will take you on journey of romantic tales from across the Russian Empire of the 19th Century. The programme pairs a selection of Tchaikovsky’s more intimate songs with Ukranian composer Lysenko’s setting of A Poet’s Love, which draws on Heinrich Heine’s romantic prose made famous by Robert Schumann.
