In Berstein’s centenary year, Wiltshire Music Centre is delighted to be partnering with Bath Festival for a concert performance of the iconic musical - West Side Story - conducted by Timothy Redmond. 

Take one legendary musical, 50 Wiltshire Music Centre Chorus members, 30 local school children, Bath Philharmonia and soloists from Guildhall School of Music and produce an anniversary celebration of one the greatest of all musical theatre writers – Leonard Bernstein.

The WMC Chorus, led by Music Director Mike Daniels, with an assembly of remarkable musical forces, will perform a selection of numbers from the musical on Saturday 19th May at The Forum Bath, as part of this year’s Bath Festival.

We hope you can join WMC Chorus for this exciting project, which will be rehearsing at Wiltshire Music Centre on:

  • Sunday 29th April, 11AM-1PM
  • Sunday 6th May, 11AM-1PM
  • Sunday 13th May, 11AM-1PM

On 19th May WMC Chorus will rehearse in Bath from 1pm prior to a short outdoor performance and the evening concert. 

The fee to join the WMC Chorus for this project is £30 (U18s £15) which includes all music hire and rehearsals.

We are looking for Sopranos, Tenors and Basses but places are limited, so please register your interest as soon as possible.
