Designed with professional musicians, expert practitioners and building on over 20-years experience delivering music educational projects across the county, this platform further supports our mission to provide outstanding educational opportunities for all.
Digital Music Box is a ten-lesson online music programme, introducing the key building blocks of music for instrumental learning.

The programme is designed to support classroom teachers to deliver First Access in primary schools, each lesson consisting of 5 – 6 easy to use exercises involving clapping, singing and playing percussion instruments.
Funded by Wiltshire Music Connect, this programme includes lively and engaging demonstrations and exercises created and led by Matt Thorpe and David Garcia, who are professional music educators, peripatetic teachers who work across the county, Wiltshire Young Musicians leaders and West of England Youth Orchestra /Wiltshire Youth Jazz Orchestra practitioners.
Filmed in our 300-seat auditorium with high definition video quality, the programme is simple and easy for teachers with all levels of musical experience to deliver.
If you are a Wiltshire Primary School that does not yet deliver First Access OR want to increase the number of pupils who currently take part in First Access – Wiltshire Music Connect can offer a subsidy of up to 40% from the cost of Digital Music Box.
