Individual Support
Individual donors are very important to the Centre and help to
ensure the high quality of its facilities and programme. There are
several ways you can support the Centre:
Regular Giving
Many people give to charity on a regular monthly or annual
basis. The Centre is keen to develop regular giving to
supplement the unrestricted core funding we receive from the Public
Sector and to grow an income stream that will help us to plan for
the future. Regular donors can make an important contribution
to the long-term security and viability of the Centre and no matter
how large or small the regular gift, it all adds up! If you are
interested in supporting the Centre in this way, we can help you
set up a regular standing order.
One-off Gifts
Some people like to make single gifts at a time that suits them
best such as an anniversary, Christmas or whenever it is convenient
to do so. One-off gifts can be ring-fenced for a particular
use, or go towards the Centre's annual fundraising target - the
funds that have to be raised each year for overheads but which are
not attributable to any one aspect of the programme. If you are
considering making a gift and would like to speak to someone about
the Centre's requirements, please contact Audrey Michel for an informal
discussion.
Gift Aid
If you pay UK tax, you can increase the value of your donations
to the Wiltshire Music Centre by making a Gift Aid declaration when
you become a Friend or Benefactor. This will enable the Centre to
claim tax on every payment you make, increasing its value by 28p
for every £1 you give.
Legacies
Gifts to charities reduce the inheritance tax that has to be
paid, and are a way of continuing to support your favourite
organisation. If you enjoy the Wiltshire Music Centre and would
like to contribute to its continued success, why not include the
Wiltshire Music Centre Trust as a beneficiary in your will, once
the needs of your family and friends have been met?
Such gifts give vital support to the work of the Centre and
donations of cash or shares are equally welcome. Your money could
help disadvantaged young people to benefit from the Centre's
outreach educational projects or purchase lasting capital items for
the building. Recent legacies have supported a new PA system for
public speaking, improvements for disabled access and a much needed
fund for equipment which could not otherwise be afforded.
We always respect the wishes of individual donors so if you wish
to remain anonymous or to be publicly acknowledged, we will honour
your request.
