THE CONCERT

Following eight years working with legendary saxophonist, Maceo Parker, trombone maestro Dennis Rollins MBE debuts his all-new groove outfit FUNKY-FUNK! Well-known on the British and international jazz scene as a trombonist, composer and jazz educator, Dennis is celebrated for his versatility and undisputed talent.

Over the years he’s become regarded as an artist of excellence, lending his unique and stylish gifts to some of the world’s top jazz and pop personalities like Courtney Pine, Jamiroquai and Blur, and latterly was a key and crowd-pleasing member of the legendary Maceo Parker’s band. Tonight you can expect electrifying jazz riffs and funky trombone melodies guaranteed to get you up on your feet and beaming from ear to ear.

THE FOOD

To honour Dennis, who was born in Birmingham to Jamaican parents, add more flavour to your night with some Carribbean-inspired bowl food, freshly-cooked and served in a lightweight ceramic dish by Fat Fowl Kitchens. Dining is informal: there will be places to sit or stand where you can enjoy this tasty meal before the show.
