BACH Toccata in D major BWV 912
RAMEAU Suite No 2 in A minor
SCARLATTI Selection of Sonatas
BACH Prelude and Fugue in A BWV 894
Angela Hewitt occupies a unique position among today’s leading pianists. Having established herself as one of J S Bach’s foremost interpreters, she earned the City of Leipzig Bach Medal in 2020. In her highly anticipated WMC debut, Angela pairs two of Bach’s virtuosic keyboard works with a journey through Scarlatti’s many keyboard sonatas and the lively French dances of Rameau’s Suite No 2.
BEFORE THE SHOW
There will be a pre-concert talk and an All Friends’ pre-concert reception
