Beethoven’s iconic Symphony No.5 is widely considered one of the cornerstones of western music. The symphony, and in particular the four-note opening motif, are known worldwide. The Emperor Piano Concerto is an equal to the symphony and redefined the relationship between the piano and the orchestra.
