Pick Up And Play: Instrumental Taster Session

For young people aged 15+ years

Ever wanted to try playing an instrument but not had the chance? Or maybe you want to try again, having had a break. This is your chance to explore different instruments, learn some basics – and even try learning a tune. Led by our friendly team, this relaxed session gives you the chance to try out a range of instruments in a safe and welcoming space.

About the music leaders: Esther Taylor and Lizzy Evans

Esther Taylor has over 25 years’ experience teaching music and 20 years’ experience as a classroom teacher, working with young people from Early Years to A Level. A multi-instrumentalist with a Master’s degree in Special Education, she is passionate about making music accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Esther has supported musicians at every stage of their journey and is looking forward to introducing participants to strings, brass and percussion.
