About the bands
Half Life was formed while studying at St Laurence School and although only Luke the drummer remains in Year 12, three of them still have lessons with teachers at the Music Centre. The band, who play a mix of their own indie compositions and covers and who have been able to rehearse at the Music Centre, which is so much better than being in a house or garage.
The Average At Best White Band, made up of music teachers who work at the Music Centre – Jamie Williams on guitar, David Garcia on drums and Matt Thorpe on bass will then be playing a 12 minute instrumental medley of Led Zep songs!
