We’re delighted to be bringing players from Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and BSO Resound, the world’s first disabled-led ensemble at the core of a major orchestra , to Bradford on Avon Library for a free, immersive classical concert for the whole community.
Enjoy a lively programme of classical and family favourites, from Haydn’s Symphony No. 8 to Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves. Presented and Makaton signed by Sam Mason, there’ll also be a free craft workshop (2-3pm) where you can make concert props inspired by the journey from dusk to dawn, including suns, moons and nocturnal animals.
Through music, storytelling and participation, the performance then explores the transition from night to day – from mystical creatures and peaceful dreams to the warmth and energy of a new sunrise.
No ticket required. Simply bring your family and friends and enjoy outstanding live music in the heart of Bradford on Avon. There’ll be a mix of seated and standing space.
This event replaces the ticketed performance originally scheduled at Wiltshire Music Centre. By moving to a larger, more accessible community venue, we hope even more people can experience these exceptional musicians. Anyone who has already booked for the original concert will be contacted by our Box Office team regarding refunds or credit notes.
Whether you’re new to classical music, enjoy relaxed performances, appreciate Makaton signing, like to move around and respond to the music, or simply love live performance, this concert is for you. We warmly welcome families, people of all ages, including those with SEND or additional needs.
