Richard Dawson - Sun 9 Nov 8pm
Heralded experimental folk troubadour in a special intimate performance. Plus support from Gwenifer Raymond Northumberland’s modern folk poet is hitting middle-age: a stage he examines in his latest album, End of the Middle. Inspired by small-scale domesticity, Dawson’s sonic explorations, ranging from alt-rock to psychedelia, provide a laser-focused analysis of his everyday struggle to understand life in an increasingly unpredictable world.

Finnish folk sound equals Frigg – a band whose fusion of Nordic Folk Music and various Western folk styles has been dubbed ‘nordgrass’, referring to the band’s bluegrass influences. Comprising an ensemble featuring violins and double bass, they’re celebrating 25 years in music in 2025, with a new album, new line-up and new collaborations.
