To inspire more young people to pick up and continue learning orchestra instruments, and to make classical music more accessible to young people.
For GCSE and A-Level students and young musicians playing in ensembles aged 14+
We can offer students, and accompanying teachers, tickets for £5 (for both the creative workshop and concert). If you are attending the concert unaccompanied, you will need to complete a parental permission form after you have booked your ticket.

We have an exciting opportunity for young musicians aged 14+ to join conductor Enyi Okpara, and musicians from the Bouremouth Symphony Orchestra for a creative introductory workshop, ahead of their season opening performance at WMC!
In addition, we have reduced price tickets for the evening concert for school groups.

6.30 – 7.15 Creative workshop with professional BSO musicians
7.30 – 9.15 BSO evening concert
This workshop is a great introduction to the evening’s concert, and a fantastic opportunity to meet professional musicians and find out more about what they do and why. There will be the chance to create some music together and to learn more about the composers and what they were thinking when they wrote these iconic pieces. Repertoire to include:
