Night falls, and the world softens: shadows lengthen, voices are hushed, and the imagination stirs. In these hours, music finds its most intimate and revealing moments: a whispered prayer, a lamenting sigh, a secret longing, or an epic tale unfolding under the stars. Across centuries, composers have returned to darkness as a canvas for reflection and wonder. In this programme, night is both refuge and reckoning: a space where the human voice gives shape to the mysterious quiet that lies between dusk and dawn.
