British string quartet Ligeti Quartet has been at the forefront of modern and contemporary music since its formation in 2010, championing today’s most exciting composers through innovative programming, new commissions and boundary-pushing collaborations.
Their 2023 album Nuc celebrates the music of Mercury Prize-nominated composer Anna Meredith, combining acoustic and electronic works in arrangements by violist Richard Jones. Performed with amplification and bespoke visuals, Nuc was named one of The Guardian’s top 10 contemporary albums of 2023 and described by BBC Music as “an album that continually surprises and enlightens.”
