A towering figure in British classical music for the past four decades, Steven Isserlis CBE’s international career has featured performances with the world’s greatest orchestras and a vast award-winning. Tonight, joined by his regular pianist Connie Shih, he turns to an intimate programme of Classical and Romantic works: from Beethoven’s witty variations on a beloved melody from Mozart’s The Magic Flute, to the rich passion of Mendelssohn’s Second Sonata.
