Fundraising Manager

Full Time – Starting asap – £28,000 p.a.  
 
Wiltshire Music Centre is offering an exceptional opportunity to join its small and vibrant team as Fundraising Manager. This is a new, full-time role at the heart of the organisation’s ambitious 3-year business plan targeting a significant increase in contributed income. 
This role requires an efficient, highly motivated and tactful individual with experience in fundraising for the arts / charitable sector, as well as a passion for working with people, excellent organisational skills and a ‘can do’ attitude. 

The Fundraising Manager plays a key part in driving growth across various contributed income streams, including trusts and foundations, public funding bodies and individual giving to support the Centre’s core Artistic and Creative Learning programmes. The role also has responsibility for the Centre’s membership programme and year-round programme of cultivation, stewardship and fundraising events, in order to develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders and funding prospects. 

This is a unique opportunity for a talented fundraiser with several years of experience to play a crucial role in a growing organisation, developing fundraising expertise and track record across the various types of contributed income streams.

Bookkeeper and Team Assistant

Full Time, permanent role – Starting asap – £21,000 p.a.  
 
Wiltshire Music Centre is offering a fantastic opportunity to join its small and vibrant team as Bookkeeper & Team Assistant. This is a full-time role at the very heart of the organisation providing both bookkeeping support to the Finance Manager (1 to 2 days a week) and high-level administrative support to the Board and senior management team (3 to 4 days a week). This is a new role created to enable the ambitious strategic plan the organisation is embarking on following a successful 20th Anniversary year. 

Under the supervision of the Finance Manager, the Bookkeeper & Team Assistant contributes to the delivery of a wide range of financial / accounting processes. In addition to this, under the supervision of the Chief Executive, the Bookkeeper & Team Assistant provides diary, meetings and communication management support, confidently engaging with the whole WMC team, as well as Board administration support as required. 

This post requires someone with prior bookkeeping experience, excellent organisational and administration skills, a confident and personable communication style (in person, over the phone and via email), the ability to multi-task, prioritise effectively and forward plan in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The role also requires a level of discretion and confidentiality as it deals with a range of information. 

This is a unique opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of finance functions while having insight into and contributing to a growing first-rate arts organisation.

WORK EXPERIENCE

We are pleased to offer one-off and regular weekly work experience placements for young people seeking to gain an understanding of arts management – including programming and events coordination, marketing and fundraising, lighting and sound production and customer service.

Concert Manager

Status & hours: Casual part time, shifts agreed on an ad hoc basis

Rate: £8.20 per hour + holidays (full time annual entitlement: 28 days)

The Concert Manager manages the front of concert operations at Wiltshire Music Centre and creates a welcoming environment for all patrons, whilst maximizing sales and profits as well as customer satisfaction. The Concert Manager has responsibility for the safe and effective operation of the Wiltshire Music Centre. The Concert Manager is also fully trained as Box Office & Team Assistant.

The Concert Manager reports to the Programme & Events Coordinator.

Box Office and Team Assistant

Status & hours: Casual part time, shifts agreed on an ad hoc basis

Rate: £7.83 per hour + holidays (full time annual entitlement: 28 days)

The Box Office & Team Assistant provides reception, box office, basic technical, operational and administrative support to the work of the Wiltshire Music Centre Trust (WMC). 

The Box Office & Team Assistant assists with the day-to-day running of the Centre by handling all routine operational and administrative matters to provide good customer care and ensure that all events and activities run smoothly. The Box Office & Team Assistant reports to the Head of Development & Communications.
