The Castle Inn on Mount Pleasant is just a short walking distance from the Centre, but we recommend booking ahead for food. A family pub with two comfy and stylish dining areas it also has a good sized garden, a flagstone patio and four newly refurbished B&B guest rooms it serves home-cooked food and a selection of ever changing real ales. Children and dogs welcome.
1.4km/0.9 miles from Centre, 3 minute drive
Timbrell’s Yard You’ll find this stylish restaurant and bar with rooms just short walk from the train station in St Margaret’s Car Park. It serves a selection of modern British food including burgers, roasts and vegetarian dishes, sourced from local ingredients. Although we recommend booking ahead, a drop-in bar menu is available but check their website for details. If you choose to walk, be advised there is a steep but beautiful climb back to the Centre which you should allow 20 minutes for.
