Celebrate Ukrainian artistry and support vital humanitarian aid with a unique fundraising event, hosted by The Friends of Oleksandriya. Featuring five independent films and performances by a piano quintet, Ukraine: Within and Beyond spotlights the strength of Ukraine and the power of its people.

Lost Youth explores the invisible wounds of war and displacement, honouring the memory of Anastasia Porokhnya, a 17-year-old girl who was killed by Russian cluster munitions in her backyard in 2022.

Adamchyk is a short documentary in memory of Zhenya Shkil’s relatives in Zaporizhzhia: baby Adam Buhayov, his mother Sophiia Buhayova, and his great-grandmother Tetiana Tarasevych: a poignant tribute to their lives and to all civilians still at risk. The event will also feature artistic films A Woman’s War and Children’s Voices, as well as documentary Farmers in Kherson.

Acclaimed composer Illia Bondarenko will lead a piano quintet, performing his own composition as well as the piano quintets of Borys Lyatoshynsky and Robert Schumann.

There will also be a book and merchandise stall open from 2.30pm.

This is a charitable concert in aid of Ukraine organised by Friends of Oleksandriya.
