Talented young musician exhibits her special illustrations documenting life in the West of England Youth Orchestra
We’re delighted to present the work of one of our very own talented WEYO musicians this summer.
Sketched Live in Concert showcases a unique collection of drawings by Amelia Parkes Cordock, whose passion for both music and art led her to live sketching at concerts during her 2024 art foundation course.
This exhibition captures both concerts and behind-the-scenes moments of rehearsals and performances from WEYO and
WYM sessions here at Wiltshire Music Centre.
In Amelia’s own words, “As a young musician and appreciator of live classical music, the Wiltshire Music Centre has become like a second home, and these drawings capture some of the joy that brings me here.” Clarinettist Amelia is a dedicated member of the West of England Youth Orchestra (WEYO), a full-size symphony orchestra for musicians aged 12–21, providing opportunities to perform inspiring repertoire and participate in holiday courses throughout the year.
The exhibition is free and displayed in our foyer bar and on the Mezzanine during opening hours. Follow Amelia on Instagram
